Numerical Methods for Fractional Diffusion Problems - Abstract

This special session aims at bringing together speakers in the area of numerical analysis of fractional differential equations. Due to their substantial applications in science and engineering the fractional PDEs have emerged as a new modeling tool. 

The problems associated with fractional PDEs pose significant new challenges for their analysis and numerical treatment. During the last two decades there have been many important new developments in the area.

We hope to be able to attract some experts in this area and make this Special Session a forum for discussion of the latest achievements, challenges, and the possible new research directions and methods.
